Getting Ready

The Summer's activities are winding down and it's time to start preparing for the fall. KidStuf will be starting on August 16. I'm excited about several new opportunities KidStuf will bring to our children this fall. Watch for more info to come soon!

As part of "Getting Ready" we will be painting all Nursery and Sunday School rooms in the downstairs of the Ministry Center. That's 7 large rooms. Which means I need your help.

Friday, July 31, and Saturday, August 1, are Children's Ministry Work Days. Each day will be divided into 2 hour shifts. If you can work more than one shift - fantastic! But, if everyone can pitch in and work at least one shift we should be able to complete all painting in one weekend. The schedule will be as follows:

Friday, July 31:

10:00 am - 12:00 noon - Shift 1

12:00 - 1:00 - Break

1:00 - 3:00 - Shift 2

3:00 - 5:00 - Shift 3

5:00 - 6:00 - Break

6:00 - 8:00 - Shift 4

Saturday, August 1:

10:00 - 12:00 - Shift 5 (Note to Ladies: There is a coupon class during this time. However, the men can still paint while we're "couponing".)

12:00 - 1:00 - Break

1:00 - 3:00 - Shift 6

3:00 - 5:00 - Shift 7

5:00 - 6:00 - Break

6:00 - 8:00 - Shift 8

My goal is to paint one room per shift. Which means, I would need at least 3 volunteers per shift. Please let me know which shift(s) you would like to work. You can email me at childrensministrymvbc@comcast.net or leave a message with the church office at 842-1911.

If you are not able to help with the painting but would still like to contribute to the painting and furnishing of our children's Sunday School rooms, you can donate money to help purchase the tables, chairs, rugs, paint, etc. Designate monies to the Children's Ministry Remodeling Fund and put it in Sunday's offering.
