Week 2 is coming to an end. We had 130 Campers this week. To say it was chaotic is an understatement. We had to call in reinforcements first thing Monday morning. Our Counselors are AMAZING. They have all jumped right in and done what needed to be done. They were not afraid of the massive number of children running all over the place.
The Campers had a blast. Thursday we brought in the water slides and dunk tank. The rain actually came at a good time, it cooled everything off right before we went out to play.
This summer, Camp All Star, is working to raise money to purchase mosquito nets for children in Africa through Compassion. Our Campers have learned about malaria prevention and about how vital the mosquito nets are to the survival of children in Africa. Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase 100 nets.
